Review by hotel critic
The Alva Hotel in Reykjavík was a delightful surprise during my recent city break. The modern room and Luxurious bathroom at the property were a perfect retreat after a day of exploring nearby attractions like Hallgrímskirkja Church and the Imagine Peace Tower. The comfortable bed and warm lighting created a cozy atmosphere, ideal for unwinding after a day of photographing the stunning Icelandic landscapes. The addition of the kitchenette with a stovetop in certain rooms was a convenient touch, allowing for some home-cooked meals while enjoying the beautiful city views. The staff's kindness and helpfulness, especially when we were stuck indoors due to bad weather, truly made our stay memorable.Alva Hotel's convenient location, with points of interest like the Reykjavik Art Museum and Laugavegur Shopping Street nearby, made it easy to explore the city on foot. The free WiFi throughout the property was a bonus, keeping us connected to share our adventures with friends and family back home in Cork. If I ever find myself back in Reykjavík, I wouldn't hesitate to book another stay at this cozy gem. From the stunning landscapes of Ireland to the rugged beauty of Iceland, Alva Hotel provided a warm and welcoming base for our urban adventure.
